I recently met Chris Rupp, he was asking me about helping him set up some trips for veterans to take them surf fishing.  I said I would be delighted and honored to help.  I always help organizations that help our veterans whom we owe so much.  Chris Rupp as it turns out runs the 501(c)(3) Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp (WHHC).  I always help legit non profits that do a hundred percent for our veterans.  So allow me to introduce you to the …

Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp (WHHC), a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping wounded combat veterans heal.  WHHC is proud to be an all-volunteer organization.  Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp’s mission is to help wounded combat veterans heal.  WHHC takes wounded combat vets on hunting and fishing trips. Our Heroes come from all over the country and leave with lifelong memories and friendships.  We accomplish our mission by getting our wounded heroes outdoors hunting and fishing thereby challenging them, empowering them, and enabling them to do the things they love to do.

 The Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp was proud to host a successful snow goose hunt in Magnolia, Delaware. This was a special hunt because we were able to bring out a special guest, Eagle Scout Spencer B., to help out on the wounded veteran hunt. By joining us, Spencer earned his final Eagle badge.  Meet our heroes … Army ret. James Taulbee  and Marine/Army ret. Stefan Talabisco.
        The Heroes were able to bag over forty birds by ten o’clock.  Afterwards our Heroes were able to learn how to properly clean the birds.  After a successful hunt our Heroes went to the Magnolia Restaurant for lunch with their guide Ronny for a good meal and many laughs.  In the end the Heroes went home with lots of goose meat, great memories, and new friendships … WHHC Guide, Chris Rupp.”
