The beginning of this week, the rough waves pushed a couple of dead turtles onto the north side beach in Delaware Seashore State Park.  The loggerhead pictured weighed over a thousand pounds according to one source.  One turtle was a loggerhead and the other as a leatherback.

There was also apparently a dolphin that also washed onto the beach.  When we get these heavy waves ands winds, all kinds of things will wash onto our beaches.  Unfortunately sometimes it is sea life.

If you see any stranded marine mammal or dead, contact MERR so they can collect data on the creature.  (302) 644-2678  is the best number to use.  Give them as much information as you can.
