While we were catching kingfish, weakies, sand perch and the usual surf suspects. All while watching eagles and ospreys after a killer breakfast on the beach. There was some interesting action lighting up on the incoming tide at the Indian River Inlet.

Mack in the box

Kevin Golden and his dad were tossing metals at Indian River INlet. Hoping for some bluefish, shad, short bass, or whatever was going to hit. The bass action on sand fleas has been stellar. They started hooking up Spanish mackerel on the top of the incoming tide. They caught three, the guy next to them got two.

Great to see this action in our waters period. Coming into the Indian River Inlet is a bonus. There is a ton of life in the surf too. We saw lines of bait fish yesterday moving along in the wash area just beyond the breaking waves on the edge of the stirred up sand.

Get out and fish there is no telling what you will catch this summer. The usual August tropical summer fish are already here for the most part, now we are waiting to see what other tropical fish pop up this summer. We are just getting started.

Fish On!
