Rocket Launch Exploring Energy Transport in Space Launches May 7th From Wallops Island
“The Black Brant XII, carrying the KiNET-X payload, is a four-stage sounding rocket that can reach altitudes more than 200 miles above Earth’s surface. Because of this, weather permitting, the eastern U.S. states have a chance to see the rocket passing over when the window opens May 7. This rocket launch will be releasing two vapor gases during payload that can be seen by observers.
The KiNET-X launch is currently scheduled for May 7. The window opens at 7:58 p.m. EDT. Backup days run through May 16.
