This is the latest possible state record for blueline tilefish.  From Joe at Lewes Harbor Marina … “Check out the contending new DE State Record Blueline Tilefish. Jesse Kegley landed this 21.8 pound monster while deep dropping in the Norfolk Canyon aboard Patient Lady, with Captain John Schneider. If verified, it will eclipse Bill Fintel’s 19.7 pounder caught just two months ago ” .  The first new state record was set recently by Bill Fintel.  Usually DNREC waits until the end of the year to confirm new records and I am sure breaking this one again is a possibility as well.  You just never know.  Not until this year were blueline tile fish added to the state records.  There were a few caught last year that would best this beast.   Great catch Jesse and I am sure that made one very large meal!
