Paradise Grill Bay Flounder Tournament July 15th

Everyone ready for a warm up to the Flounder Pounder Open?  Want to win five thousand dollars?  The Paradise Grill Bay Flounder Tournament is on Saturday July 15th, rain or shine.  This is a great way to get the kids involved and they could win up to five hundred dollars and are eligible to win prizes in the adult categories.  Largest fish is the largest fish in all categories for the kids.  Kayakers can participate, due to the fact this is held in the inland bays.  The same goes for those jet ski anglers, if it floats you can fish from it.  You can also fish from land, and there are some decent spots to fish from land for folks that live in Pot Nets and those that fish at the Indian River inlet, or Masseys Landing.  The southside and northside rock piles are good places to try, inside the bridge area.  You could also wade the flats at New rd, Savages ditch, and Tower road bay accesses in Delaware Seashore State park.  This tournament will benefit the Boys and Girls club in Oak Orchard.  “Spend A Day In The Bay”  we hope to see you out there.

You may fish by land or by boat. If fishing by boat, the max number of anglers is 8/boat and everyone on the boat must be registered.

This is a bay only tournament, you may only fish in the Indian River Bay and the Rehoboth Bay. The boundary lines are the Indian River Inlet Bridge (not the end of the rocks/jetty), and also the entrances to both the Rehoboth/Lewes Canal and the Assawomen Canal. Fishing beyond these boundaries will call for immediate disqualification. All lines must be out of the water by 5 PM.  You must be back at Paradise by 6 PM, weigh-ins start at 4 PM.  Winning fish are determined by weight, in the event of a tie, length will be used. Each Angler is eligible to weigh one fish, it is the angler’s responsibility to bring their heaviest fish to the weigh-ins. T-shirts will only be given out after you check in.  You must wear your t-shirt during the tournament/weigh-ins/ceremony. Registration will begin on Monday, June 26th at 10 AM and will end July 9th at 6 PM and will be held in our Paradise Marina Building. You must register in person and it is cash only.
