Delaware Sea Grant has compiled a list of local waterman and aquaculture farmers, the public can contact them to buy direct. The seafood industry took a huge hit before we even saw the effects of corona-virus in Delaware.
Not only food sources of fish and shellfish, but bait (bunker) as well can be purchased direct.
Below are links to the Sea Grant website list. If you are looking for local seafood in these trying times, you can contact these folks by email or phone. Many of these watermen rely on the spring harvest sales to boost them after the winter. You can support your local watermen and aquaculture farmers, while stocking your dinner table with fish and shellfish.
Some of the catches are not available now, but will be in the coming weeks and summer. The site will be updated constantly.
