Great morning to walk the beach and collect trash. Seriously, it was nice out. I wish we were fishing instead, the gannets were circling hard and raining on bait. There are bunker out there, you can see a lot of slicks out front. That was all I could think about while I was walking the beach, I wish I was fishing and why isn’t anyone out here trying for these fish?
Turns out a few people were and are catching. We will cover that in a bit in the fishing report, you should have been out there.
The beach cleanup went great we had a lot of new faces today, thank you for coming. We walked from Keybox to Faithful Steward this morning. The group used buckets to collect trash and filled a construction size garbage bag, found one big piece of foam, and four full buckets.

We always find weird stuff. Today was no exception. There were fluorescent bulbs on the beach. Not the little desk lap ones but the full-sized four-foot shop light bulbs. One had been run over, how they missed that even at night is beyond me. Two more were found whole and recycled. You just ever know what is going to wash up on a beach.
Last week we found a wig on Cape Henlopen State park’s Herring Point Beach. That created some interesting stories and theories about why a wig was on the beach.

Next weekend on Sunday at 9 AM we will meet at southside and clean that walk on beach and 3Rs drive on beach. It should take about two hours. We logged thirty hours today for Delaware state parks. Thanks for the help today see you next week.
FIsh On!
