Heads up North Delaware ….

According to the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Control’s emergency alert system, Delaware City Refinery was releasing thousands of pounds of a toxic chemical into the air.  The Wrangle Hill Facility was releasing 3,500 pounds of sulfur dioxide every hour due to a boiler problem according to DNREC.  This started at 8:00 a.m.yesterday (April 29th) and has since been shut down for repairs.  The EPA lists this as a hazardous chemical.    It would also explain why there is a acrid warm fart smell in the air.
