Bill Burton Fishing Pier Is Closed
Today Maryland DNR closed the Bill Burton Fishing Pier in the Bill Burton Fishing Pier State Park. The pier is getting new lights and needs to be closed for roughly 2 weeks for the replacement work. Both sides are closed. From the website … “Alert – 9/26/2018: Effective immediately, the Bill Burton Fishing Pier will be closed to the public until further notice for maintenance. The trails and parking lot next to the office will remain open. Details will follow. ”
This is a popular place to fish especially at night, the lights make for some diverse fishing. “Both the Talbot County and Dorchester County sections of the piers are lighted for night fishing from April 1st through December 31st, and the Dorchester County side of the pier is open and lighted year round.”
Looking forward to it reopening and the new lights should be an added attraction, hopefully for a lot of fish.
