Yesterday at 4 PM the bar at paradise turned into a sea sea of neon green highlighters holding coolers and fish to weigh in. There were faces brighter than the day glow shirts.
“Man it was hotter than the ninth level of hell out there today” … “We picked through tons of small keepers just to get this 3.4 pounder.” … “We fished everywhere people were and weren’t”
Most of the fish that came to the scales averaged twenty one inches and it was a fight between tenths of a pound. A few bigger fish came to the scales measuring a whopping twenty three inches, but that is all the difference you need for a couple extra pounds, now we were into the five pounders.

Once the twenty three inch mark was broken then we are back to fighting over tenths of a pound. The average large keeper so far around the inland bays is five pounds and twenty three inches.
These folks are picking through a lot of small keepers to find a quality fish to take first place.
good luck today all and stay hydrated
Fish On!
