Satan’s Kitchen Closes And Zeus Drops A Beat

Later today this heat wave is going to end, which is great! I’m dying out here, the flies are sucking people dry, and it is miserable trying to get anything done. Stay hydrated, and if you need more water just wait until his evening.

Satan’s Kitchen is closing and Zeus is dropping severe thunderstorms to cool us off. Dramatically I might add. The temperatures are going to drop real fast. Tomorrow’s high is eighty degrees and tonight’s low is seventy-four.

Heat Advisory ends at 7 PM
There is a severe thunderstorm warning until 10 PM
Flash Flood watch until 8 AM July 23rd

  • Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to bring periods of heavy
rain to our region this afternoon into early Tuesday morning.
Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected to be common, with
local amounts up to 3 to 4 inches possible. This could lead to
    flash flooding.
  • The risk of flash flooding is highest in urbanized and low-
lying areas. Rapid rises on small creeks and streams are
    possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Flash Flood Watch means that there is the potential for flash
flooding which can be life-threatening. Heavy rain is expected to
occur over a relatively short period of time. Rapidly rising
flood waters may quickly inundate roadways and areas of poor
drainage. Streams and creeks could leave their banks, flooding
nearby properties.

Please monitor the forecast, especially if you live in a location
that is prone to flooding. Be prepared to take action if a flash
flood warning is issued for your area.
