Many go out there with gas grills and charcoal. A few of my ranger friends have mentioned in the past they would like to see these on the required gear list. We have extinguishers in some of our trucks, but not all of them. These are required on boats for obvious reasons. Except as an old salt told the coast guard one day, “Son Imma just get in the water why sit here and fight a fire?” Unfortunately for beach vehicles unless you want to drive into the ocean or a full swale, you need an ABC rated fire extinguisher.
