The Weekend Comes To An End
Everyone was fishing their hearts out this weekend, trying to get that big bass or rockfish. Rumor has it a few large striped bass were hit on the beaches of Cape Henlopen Saturday afternoon. Lost of short stripers, dogfish, skates, and a few ling cod or spotted hake were pulled in from the surf. Surprisingly not too many people went out on Sunday afternoon the boat ramp at Lewes looked like a ghost town. The beaches were not that crowded. We didn’t have the best weather forecast for today but some folks put up with the gnarly weather and hit the water. Thanksgiving will be warmer in the sixties, but for the most part we are not going to see the November spring again. The lumps near Sea Isle were on fire this morning into the afternoon. There are lots of striped bass headed this way, now we just have to hope they hug the coast and come close to shore. Several schools have been spotted way out in the EEZ. There are still plenty of shorts to fish for in our waters, the inlet was packed yesterday at the rocks and there were plenty of boats out there. It was a fun weekend getting the beaches cleaned up and doing a little fishing. The rest of the week we are hoping the lower temperatures will help move fish closer to the shore line. The best part of today was a beautiful sunset and rainbow, you have to love Delaware during the evenings. We have some beautiful skies. Have a great week.
Check these guys out in Jersey!!
