The New Coastal Delaware Paddling Map
A new map has been created by “paddling” enthusiasts. The maps have detailed routes with distances. Access points for putting in your kayak, canoe or SUP with information on any fees, restrooms, parking, and even nearby places to eat. Make sure you know all the rules for operating kayaks and paddleboards in Delaware.
Delaware has some excellent areas to kayak, canoe, or paddleboard. These maps will make those areas even more accessible for those unfamiliar. Planning your trips ahead of time is also much easier. These maps help especially with the time frames for a trip.
The trails on the maps take paddlers though marsh areas, back bays loaded with all kinds of wildlife. Make sure you check the terrain you will be near to prepare for bugs and the like.
All paddle enthusiasts are required to follow rules on the water for their own safety. Make sure you have all of your safety equipment.
You can download and print out the maps at this link. Laminating the maps after printing would be a great way to take them along for the trip. There is also a Google Earth map for paddling coastal Delaware you can link to your phone.
