A swim advisory has been issued for Dewey Beach. This is from elevated levels of the Enterococcoi (Colonies/100ml) bacteria which is elevated beyond the "safe" levels. Officials stated this is from shorebirds feeding on horseshoe crab eggs. The warning has been issued for Swedes and Dagsworthy streets. Recent runoff from the rain apparently created this issue, and should be cleared up by Wednesday afternoon. Just a heads up but there is a constant swim advisory for the Inland bays due to elevated levels of bacteria. Due to heavy nutrient loads, especially in the summer.
