Second Annual Delaware Jet Ski Fishing Tournament
Last year DSF hosted a jet ski fishing tournament for the Delaware Jet Ski fishing crew and this year we are doing another one on September 16th. Anglers will shot-gun start from the Masseys Landing area at 8 AM. The tournament ends at 3 PM and all anglers will come back to my house for a weigh in and cook out by 4:30 PM. We will be raising money for Frets 4 Vets, which will receive a portion of the proceeds for their organization and are donating our award plaques. We also have prizes donated by Mike Duncan at Helly Hansen at the Seaside Outlets in Rehoboth Beach and Maverick Fish Hunter. The largest fish will receive a gear bag from Maverick Fish hunter and a plaque. Diamond State Custom Tackle is donating some gear for raffle prizes. We have other prizes possibly being donated we will update more details in a week.
Entry fee …
$30 per angler, only two anglers per ski for safety reasons. Pay the day of the event. We might have a preregistration get together the Friday night before.
The rules …
Anglers can fish the inland bays to offshore. You have to keep your catch and follow Delaware State creel limits. No culling is allowed you keep what you catch and enter those fish at the end of the day. Lines in at 3 PM, Anglers have to be back to the house by 4:30 PM. This will allow the offshore anglers time to get back and loaded up. Since we are allowing offshore fishing we have to have anglers bring back their catch. Last year we were able to use phone submissions by text, but phones do not work offshore. Do not be discouraged if you can not go offshore with your jet ski, anglers fishing the inland bays have just as good a chance to catch many fish to win and get to the weigh ins on time.
There will be a $10 Calcutta for the largest bluefish.
