Saturday Sept. 7th Surf Conditions
Small craft advisory until 6 PM. Lot less wind this morning and it is downright chilly. The ocean is calmer but the waves are still pretty big. Holding bottom will be tough but doable. No idea if parks will open the closed beaches today. Low tide is at 8 AM and the water is still up a bit.
Just watch yourselves at high tide at 4:47 PM . From the looks of things the water is much calmer than yesterday. High tide could still be an issue for low skinny beach areas like the point and naval crossing. That will depend on the wind today. The swell is still up there, but will will calm down throughout the day.
Watch for rip currents. The swales along the surf wash area the beaches will fill back in eventually. Look for fish in the wash, especially striped bass and flounder.
