Rough Seas At The Beach Today

The winds have been heavy and will continue into tomorrow. 3Rs beach has a section closed today on the north end due to high water. There is pooling on many beaches. Be careful driving on wet sand that can get ugly faster than you realize. Holding bottom and casting is a nightmare. There is a serious rip current danger so be mindful of that. I have seen some wild pictures of the beaches today. The Inland bays have been rough all day with the heavy winds, but some areas are not too bad if you get out of the wind. Ocean City, MD looks crazy with heavy surf this afternoon combined with thousands of people on the beach. In Virginia a storm slammed into the coast and the winds pushed the tides up higher than normal into the Chesapeake Bay.
The marine forecast for the next 48 hours looks a little better and will be much better on Monday.

Stay safe and be smart if you are near or going into the water. Never turn your back on incoming waves, the shore break in Delaware when conditions are like this can be deadly.
Fish On!!
