Rangers Throw Boat Off Beach For Not Airing Down

A Parker Boat Stuck On The Point Manages To Get Free

At some point, very early this morning, a Parker ran up on the point in Cape Henlopen State Park. Apparently it was a I didn’t see the beach failure.
“My kid was driving the boat.” The owner told several surf anglers who just arrived to set up to surf fish, watch the show, and help when the tide came back in.

Always blame the kids whenever you can, especially when having them navigate rough, dangerous water in uncharted territory. A great life lesson.

Thankfully no one was hurt minus some pride, and possibly some therapy in the coming adult years for the kid.

Several surf anglers out there this morning helped shove them off the point, once the tide came in. That would have made some interesting structure to fish. It was also in one of our favorite spots to fish. Kudos to all the surf anglers that helped them off the beach. Those lower units are going to need a good cleaning. Possibly a couple pairs of shorts too.
