PETA Wants To Change The Name Of Slaughter Beach

So this just happened …  PETA sent a letter to the mayor asking to change the name of Slaughter beach to Sanctuary Beach.

Has anyone at PETA ever used the Google?  Because Slaughter Beach does not mean what they think it means.  The most popular origin is it was named after the original postmaster.   Wait till they find out what Broadkill really means or that Lewes was once called Whorekill.  Then of course there is the Murderkill River.

I will keep you posted as this is going to be interesting for sure.  Might have to hit up the town council meeting next week and see their reaction.
