Ocean City Commercial Anglers Need Your Help Locating Thief
A gentlemen in a silver truck with a cap was caught on camera stealing from Southern Connection Seafood at the end of Harbor Road in West Ocean City.
He parked in their lot and used a hack saw to steal a metal decorative crab from a stair rail. You can see him doing that on camera. The man seems rather bold and also appears to be scoping out the rest of the area.
Dana Nelson, a commercial angler asked us to help him locate his stolen goods. In the video you will see that the truck has a Delaware surf fishing tag issued by Delaware State Parks. It is the older white tag with blue lettering, but possibly a current tag. “I am hoping someone who follows your site and pages will know this person.”
I asked Dana if he had contacted the police and state parks enforcement, since they have a database for people who own and have owned surf tags.
Dana Nelson “They (parks enforcement) are going through the database and have narrowed it down from 17k to 1k but are searching manually through the paperwork. Any chance you can post the video(s)? Just want my stuff back. I’m not pressing charges if I catch him. The cops are going to if they get him first.”
I told Dana we would be happy to help, there are a few things and types of people I can’t stand, and a thief is high on my list.
If you have any information on this gentlemen or the whereabouts of the stolen item(s) please contact the Delaware State Park enforcement at 302 856 5520 or the Worcester County Sheriff 410 632-1111 ask for Deputy Sheriff C. Boyce, he is the investigating Officer and the Case Number is: #19-0001537.
