U.S. Coast Guard Station Indian River ….

Rich, good afternoon just wanted to give you heads up will be posting on our page shortly, but aids to navigation for back bays and tributaries will be pulled the first week of December. As last year we pushed back pulling them to allow for the fall striper run.
Big thanks to the Coast Guard for thinking of the fishermen again this year and leaving the buoys in longer. For all who have boats this is very necessary with all of the shoaling that has occurred in the inland bays. I would recommend that anyone with plotters mark your course next time you are out and mark the buoys now. It will help after the buoys have been pulled in case you fish further into December and January.
The buoy that washed up on the beach last week has been recovered. Buoy 1B was spotted floating out off the Indian River Inlet last weekend during the Nor’easter by several anglers in the late morning on the outgoing tide. It the washed around the south jetty and washed up onto the south swimming beach. It was recovered the next day by the Coast Guard.
Fish On!!
