A few hours ago the Nao Santa Maria Departed the Delaware city marina and is head down the Delaware Bay.

Ocean City, MD will host the Santa Maria on August 12th to September 5th. According to the Ocean City Town Council who approved her visit with a memorandum of understanding (MOU). Dates are subject to change due to weather and sea conditions. She is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, August 11th. Track her on the vessel finder app. I imagine some folks are keeping track of her and possibly following the journey.

I’m hoping she hugs the Delaware coast a little today, so we can get pictures from the beach. she will enter Ocean City vis the Ocean City inlet.
Maybe we will get lucky and she makes a stop in Lewes. Last ship we had here was in August 2018, when the Vikings invaded Lewes, in the Draken Harald Hårfagre.
