Myrtle Beach Sets Creel Limit On Jeeps

The Jeep Grand Cherokee That Was stuck in the surf on Myrtle Beach during Hurricane Dorian was the best live troll ever.

You have to love social media some days. Once that jeep grand cherokee stuck in the surf at Myrtle beach was on the news, the internet went wild. The memes were hilarious and plentiful. My favorite was the “Get that man a Salt Life Sticker”. The best Photoshop job was the tuna tower mounted on the Jeep. I would pay real money for one of those for surf fishing, just saying.

The news crews had the jeep grand cherokee live on TV, getting pummeled by the heavy surf. During the live feeds people were walking out to the jeep and taking selfies. Then posting on social media, what I call a live troll. When something is happening currently and people decide to have a little fun. I am literally watching people on the news take pictures and then seeing them all over social media, it was epic. The best live troll was the bagpiper who played amazing grace. After that I was done, I couldn’t stop laughing for the rest of the day.

Yes it is tragic a vehicle was in the ocean, and it was recovered after the storm subsided. The story behind that will be legend. The jeep owner’s cousin apparently took the vehicle to get a video of it in the beach at sunrise. He wasn’t paying attention and ran it into a swale that was draining, and boom, stuck. So this genius takes off the license plate and doesn’t tell anyone. The jeep owner is told by police, your jeep is at the beach in the waves. He thought his cousin still had the jeep.

Air down don’t be a clown, would have been helpful. I can imagine now at all the family diners and holidays every year someone will say … “Hey remember that time your dumb ass cousin “borrowed” the jeep and drove it on the beach during hurricane Dorian and made national news, good times. Pass the mashed potatoes and gravy, jeep boy.”

This just goes to show that you can’t go everywhere in a four wheel drive vehicle evena jeep grand cherokee. I am surprised the Jeep company isn’t milking this for promotion. It is gold if they spun it right. Clean it, fire it up, and drive it back onto a beach. I mean it’s a Jeep thing right?
