Life raft that washed up on Corolla beach NC … photo fromMid-Atlantic Coast Guard Facebook page

The Mid-Atlantic coast guard published a post on Facebook today looking for the owner of this life raft.  Since they found a life raft washed up on shore they are obligated to look for the owner in case anyone is missing at sea.  If you or anyone you know is missing a life raft please contact the Coast Guard … ” Do you recognize this life raft? This is a Revere Coastal Compact 6 person life-raft, serial number CC-6K-166 and was found on the beach near Corolla, NC. We’re looking for the owner; If you have any information about this life raft or its owner, please contact our Command Center personnel at 757-398-6231.”

In case you are wondering why post this on a site in Delaware? Remember the lifeguard stands that were tossed into the sea in Rehoboth?  One of them made it to a North Carolina beach and was found by a surf angler.  You just never know.
