Jose Floods Route 1

Well so far route 1 is flooded near conquest drive on access in Delaware Seashore State Park.  The highway is passable but use caution.  The waves are huge and fast this morning.  Water is to the dunes on all of the beaches.  High tide is at 8:40 AM at the Indian River Inlet.  You can expect to see water on route 1 for a couple of hours until it can drain off.  So far the road is still open.  Next high tide will be at nine tonight.

There haven’t been any breaches at the dunes yet, but we haven’t been everywhere yet.  We will keep you posted and check back later with an update on conditions.  We will delay Wednesday’s beach clean up most likely to Thursday.
