Indian Summer Weekend

pot nets bayside, pond fishing, trout magnets, wax worms
Connor Fisher … Fishing at the pond in bayside yesterday morning, got a buncha sunnies and this lil guy, wax worms on a trout magnet hook.

Delaweather is in full effect, either hot or cold, just have to pick your day.  This weekend is going to be beautiful with a slight chance of rain Saturday evening.  Temperatures will hit close to seventy degrees in the mid sixties.  High tide the Indian River Inlet is around noon.  The water temperatures are sill in the low forties and even lower in the northern ponds.  Should be some good bass, crappie, and pickerel fishing.  Get out of the wind for some white perch action in the tidal creeks.  Grass shrimp is still the go to bait, you just have to catch them.  If you can get out on the boats, the tautog action offshore has been good on the ocean wrecks and reef sites.  Green crabs and white legs are the est baits if you can find them.  The surf has been quiet but you might find something under the bird at the Indian River Inlet at the north jetty.   The charters and head boats are loaded with bait.  Ocean City boat show is this weekend, good time to go stare at your favorite hole in the water, and dream of warmer days.

Fish On!
