Haulin’ And Ballin Drops The First Blue Marlin For Day Two of The WMO
The second Day of the White Marlin Open and 335 boats went out to fish early this morning. The scales opened at 4 PM and we have been watching the webcam. The scales are crowded, I think in hopes of meeting Michael Jordan. By the way if you haven’t seen the hundreds of pictures his plane yet, it is at the Salisbury airport. Killer paint job.
Watching the scales online gives you access to the interviews about the catches, and you get to see the fish up close. It isn’t like being there at all but it is certainly a killer substitute. You can see more of the dock action on the webcam. I should probably sign up and go as the media, but sitting here and watching while working is fun too.
The scales saw 48 fish last night until late. The scales should be just as busy today into tonight. The first Blue Marlin was brought to the scales today by Haulin and Ballin, caught by Craig Dickerson. Weighing 465.5 pounds and worth $740,000.
The shark brought in last night was a big one. Looking forward to seeing what comes in today. The wahoo yesterday were huge, I call those things ocean pickerel. Check out the scales on the webcam.
A 71 pound white marlin just went through the scales.
