From the Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research, Inc …  In the last week, we have received several injured osprey, and these skilled birds of prey eat fish almost exclusively. With fishing season ramping up, we would greatly appreciate donations of whole fish (18” or smaller, fresh or frozen). Osprey favorites include spot, perch, trout, scup, panfish, shad, catfish, and bluefish. We will gratefully accept them at Tri-State’s Frink Center for Wildlife any day between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please spread the word so we can give our patients natural foods as we work to return them to the wild. … 302-737-9543

Osprey are my favorite fish finders and graceful hunters.  Their diet is strictly fish.  If you can help these folks out please do so.  I once saw an osprey dive right in front of a boat at the Indian River Inlet when it was packed with anglers.  The boater never saw the bird, and the osprey maneuvered around the boat like a champ with a fish.  It was the only thing catching that day.
