Here is their latest update. Please pass this along and help to find out who or what is behind the death of these animals.

>>To date five eagles involved in this incident have died, three additional eagles are currently being rehabilitated by the staff at Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, Inc. in Newark.

This is an active & on going investigation. At this time we do not have any further information available as to what caused these eagles to become ill & die. Samples have been taken from all of the eagles recovered and sent out to labs for testing.

We appreciate everyone’s concern for the eagles and this investigation. We hope to be able to answer these questions in the near future.

If anyone locates a dead, sick or injured eagle in the Dagsboro area please contact Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police dispatch center at 1-800-523-3336. DO NOT approach or attempt to capture any birds we do not want to see any additional stress or injuries placed on these animals to maximize their recovery”
