Delaware State Parks Have Closed Drive On Accesses

The drive on accesses have been closed in Delaware State Parks.  The beaches are flooded to the dune line.  The parking lots are open.  The swales are full and they are deep in some spots.  People are trying to play in the rough surf, be careful because that is one way to go.

Parks will evaluate the situation and open the drive on accesses when it is safe.  Honestly that could take a while. These rough seas are going to be an issue all week.  When we hear from parks again, we will let you know. “We are closing all accesses for safety concerns and it could take a day to several days until we can open them again.”  … park’s administrator
