What is your favorite holiday between Thanksgiving and Christmas? The Delaware Day celebration is this Saturday, December the 6th at 16 Mile Brewery in Georgetown, DE. What is Delaware Day? Every year, Delaware Day is celebrated on December 7th in honor of that day in 1787 when Delaware signed the Federal Constitution and became the first state. We will toast Delaware Day at 12:01 am to honor our founding fathers and their decision to make Delaware the First State of the United States of America. Come out and enjoy Oyster Stout, I can attest to the fact it is tasty beer. Oyster Stout shooters and a fresh oyster will be served at the Delaware Day party, donations go towards the Delaware Center For The Inland Bays and the Oyster Restoration Project! Oysters were once a large industry in this state until the early 1900’s when the stocks plummeted. The Oyster Restoration Project is hoping to recreate that industry. We plan on making this event a day to remember! You don’t want to miss out on delicious food from Bethany Blues, or the Cornhole Tournament with a 100% payout hosted by Techno Goober. If that isn’t enough, we’ve provided live entertainment through the night with the Blind Spots. Come out and celebrate Delaware Day with us and we hope to see you there.
