Big Flounder Hit The Docks In Lewes

The flounder finishing is the best off the coast.  The Old Grounds, A and B  buoys, sites ten and eleven.  Not for every single angler, but for the most part people are catching.  Some are getting the skunk, not everyone catches, it happens.   The head boats and charters out of Lewes are doing very well. There have been some decent catches around the Lewes canal and the inland bays but it has been slow going for every angler.  Hopefully the flounder fishing will pick up inshore because it has been the worst many have seen.  We are in the middle of what should be the best part of the year for flounder, but it looks like the fish forgot.  Around the inland bays there is plenty of bait in the water,  mummichogs, mullet, peanut bunker, pinfish and spot.  Could be the competition from the live food is too heavy for your baits.  Catch some of the fish around the bays and start using them for bait and see if that changes your luck.  The Cape Henlopen pier is seeing more throwbacks than keepers.  The spot catches are bigger which is a good sign, and the croaker are still small.
