Whoever schedules a beach clean up the day after St. Patty’s day is crazy … guilty as charged.

We met on Sunday morning at 9 AM in Cape Henlopen state park at the point comfort station crossing area. Chris and Andrew were there when I arrived. We waited a bit until after 9 AM and then started out on the beach. I told the guys we can just do a small section to the walk on and then call it, but it was a nice day and we decided we would walk the entire beach to Naval crossing and jetty. There was minimal trash due to the heavy winds and surf as of late. Which is good for picking it up, but bad for the fact we know most of it is in the dunes.

We probably filled half a bucket each and walked a good three miles. We did see an osprey collecting nest building materials from behind the dunes.
Next week we will meet at 9 AM at Herring point in the lower parking lot. Looking forward to seeing everyone and as always thanks for the help.
