South Fenwick Crossing Air Station Is Out Of Commission

Last night or yesterday, someone vandalized the south Fenwick Island air station. The hoses were damaged and the pump housing was vandalized. No idea how long it will be out of commission. It was discovered by a a surf angler coming off last night. They killed their battery trying to use their portable air pump.

A friend of ours happened to be on the beach in DSSP, so they drove down and gave them a jump. Another good reminder to keep a portable air compressor with you at all times. Also don’t turn off the vehicle when using these compressors. Some of them use a lot of juice. The damage has been reported to parks.
