Russell’s Fishing calls it quits
Due to a lack of fish and ultimately business, the Miss Shyanne will no longer run head boat trips. Captain Dave has decided to shutdown Russell’s Fishing out of Bowers Beach. He has been in the business so to speak since he was 10 years old and has decided it is time to call it quits. “It has taken a lot out of me”. He said he might look into a 6 pack in the future, that is a charter service, not necessary the beverage. I told him we would be happy to help with either 6 pack. He did tell me now maybe he will have the time to go surf fishing. Good luck with whatever you do in the future Captain Dave you and the Miss Shyanne will be missed by many who fished her decks over the years. There is still another head boat in Bowers Beach, The Captain’s Lady.
Capt Dave sent this message to Facebook:
” After careful thought and guidance from my family we have decided to call it an end to a great adventure in our lives.
Effective immediately we will cease operation of Russell’s Fishing and we would like to thank all of our customers for their patronage over the last 16 years we were in business. It has been a treat to meet all that have boarded the mighty Miss Shyanne and hope that all you had a great experience aboard our vessel.
I also want to thank those who have served upon her deck and assisted in anyway to make our business a success over the years. Your help was greatly appreciated no matter how big or little your task was to make every customers trip pleasurable.
So it is with great consternation that I bid you adieu.

P.S. Miss Shyanne will be riding into the sunset this weekend. She has been purchased and will be making her way across to New Jersey to give other folks a chance to catch their fill of fish!!!
