Route 1 Floods From Rain

Route 1 above route 16 is flooded in some low spots.  Until the water drains off it will remain flooded.  Just use caution, expect low lying areas to flood at high tide form run off and higher than normal tidal waters.  There are small ponds in a lot of fields and will take a while to drain.   Some areas were hit with five inches of rain overnight.  The area of route 1 along the bay below Dewey Beach could see some higher water in a couple of hours from the bays.
