Hunter Outten … We are paying close attention to an area of disturbed weather along the Carolina coastlines that has a high chance of becoming our next Tropical Depression. This area of disturbed weather is expected to move northeastward into the Gulf Stream off the coast of Delmarva.
Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for development, and a tropical or subtropical cyclone is likely to form within the next couple of days. Regardless of development, the low is expected to produce locally heavy rainfall that could cause some flash flooding across portions of eastern North Carolina, the coastal mid-Atlantic, and southern New England during the next few days. Gusty winds are also possible in the North Carolina Outer Banks through Thursday.

Rough surf will also impact the coastal locations on Delmarva with gusty easterly winds. Will have to watch for areas of some coastal flooding in the next 48-72 hours. This is not expected to become a very powerful storm given the short duration of rapidly develop this close to the coastlines.
