Parts of Route 1 Are Flooded Along the Beaches

Inland Bay Tidal Flooding SI Going To Be Worse Tonight

Just a heads up, but now that the tide is fully in around the inland bays. Route 1 has flooded on both sides. Not surprised at all. Expect this to happen tonight about 10 to 11:30 PM and tomorrow morning about an hour later than today.

Last time this happened Deldot was using snow plows to push water off the roads. Once the middle of the median fills with water there isn’t anywhere for it to drain. The inland bays will flow over the highway and there isn’t much you can do except not drive through all that saltwater.

Expect these conditions tonight and tomorrow morning. Hopefully Sunday will be better. The worse of it is here now so we will see how things pan out as the day continues and the storm moves north towards New England.
