Minor Tidal Flooding Around The Inland Bays

Heads up inland bay communities, the ocean water is being pushed in at the inlets and will for the next couple of tides and days. We have higher than normal tides from the king tides, east winds, and new moon tides. Northeast blow conditions this weekend after it switches southeast conditions this evening, That means we will get a little wet around the inland bays.

Expect the normal low lying areas to flood at high tide, which was at 12:26 PM at the Indian River Inlet. Pot nets and Oak Orchard Communities know the drill. These are on the side of the inland bays that get the most water pushed from northeast blows. High tide is a couple of hours past the Indian River Inlet tide times. The boys pulling boats can’t get to the boat ramps at the moment in some communities.
