Masseys Ditch Dredge Project Schedule
Masseys Ditch Will Be Dredged And The Slurry Pumped Into The Surf Zone Of Northside beach in Delaware Seashore State Park.
The DNREC workshops about Dredging and Waterway Management Operations In Delaware’s Inland Bays. Some of the boards on display has all of the information about the Masseys Dredge project.

Masseys Ditch is scheduled to be dredged starting the first week of January. The dredge company has until the end of February to complete the project. Due to permits and environmental concerns. Hopefully that is enough time and they will be dredging night and day I am told.
The dredged sand will be pumped into the surf zone at the beach north of the Indian River Inlet. Hopefully that will create a nice sandbar system or structure for surf fishing and surfing. This should not inhibit anyone driving onto the beach for any length of time since it is winter. Would be nice to just keep the dredge company here and do the entire inland bays. That small window of time permits allow dredging is an issue for long term projects.
Fish On!
