Making a wishing I was fishing dream come true

We were contacted a month ago about a young man who wanted to visit the beaches in Delmarva and go surf fishing by one of our followers on Facebook.  She told us about this young man’s wish to go fishing at the beach in Delmarva.  I contacted the Hero Network organization, signed up to help with this young man’s wish, and contacted the family.  “He has High Functioning Autism, Ankylosing Spondylitis (a form of arthritis that effects the spine and eyes)and Celiac’s Disease(so he is on a gluten free diet). We had a wish to go fishing and it was granted.BUT he got sick and we didn’t get to finish our trip. Bug really wanted to fish. He is totally obsessed with fishing, but has never surf fished ”   We arranged to make this happen the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.  I reached out to many friends and asked if they would like to come out and fish.  If anyone else would like to join this group, we will be at Fenwick Island State Park.  I don’t imagine we will be hard to find, we are meeting around 8 a.m. to get set up, and the family will arrive around 9 a.m.  The fishing trip is compliments of Delaware Surf Fishing.  Charlie K’s BBQ is catering the event for free.  The Black Pearl Designated Driver Service is picking up the family at Fenwick Island in the pirate bus and using the new JEEP “The Barnacle” to take them onto the beach for free. Diamond State tackle is supplying gear for free. Everyone is donating something, as well as their time to make this young man’s wish come true. Thank You for everyone’s help and please donate if you can to help the family with their traveling expenses.  This is the link for Hero Network donation page.  We look forward to seeing you out there and we hope the fish make an appearance as well, that is the only thing we can not guarantee.  If the weather is bad we will postpone to Sunday.  Please email us if you intend to come out and fish so we can get a head count for food.  admin@delaware-surf-fishing.com …  Thank You.
