Holt’s Landing State Park Has A New Addition
Holt’s Landing state park is located off Holt’s Landing road in Millville Delaware. The park has a lot of great attractions and just recently added a playground for the kids which will be open soon enough. Parks is just about finished completing this new addition There are also trails, primitive camping, a pavilion, fire pits, horseshoe pits, a state boat ramp, and a fishing & crabbing pier.
Being off the beaten path so to speak Holt’s doesn’t get as many visitors as the rest of the state parks in Sussex county. This makes it a much quieter place to take the family and enjoy the afternoon along the Indian River bay. The crabbing off the pier is decent action and the fishing isn’t too bad either. Clamming in the flats areas around the pier produces. The boat ramp was recently dredged and upgraded as well as the parking lot.
This is a great place to take the family for the day and with the addition of the playground will be even more entertaining for the kids. Not to mention a good break for the parents. Some of the playground additions are educational as well as entertaining.
