High Tide Is Flooding The Beaches Today
The angry seas haven’t let up and like yesterday the water will push to the dune lines. We are in a new moon phase, so that is not helping with the higher tides combined with this wind.
It is 3:30 PM and high tide isn’t full until 6 PM at the Indian River Inlet. It is kind of funny to sit here and give out winter beach conditions, in August.
If you are on a drive on beach watch your six, and back up to the dunes. Point your vehicle in the direction you need to go to get out of dodge.
The inland bays are going to experience minor coastal flooding again tonight at high tide. The wind is just pushing more and more water into the inland bays. Stacking water up along the long neck community’s side of the bays. Oak Orchard will get the usual and all low lying areas. Tuesday morning and possibly evening high tides will be an issue as well.
Fish On!
