Hell Weather Week

If you are beach bound this week or anywhere on the water. Stay hydrated this is going to be the hottest week of the summer, yet. Traditionally this is one of the hottest weeks. It will start cooling off next week.

Flies on any West wind will be an issue in this heat. On dead air days, no wind, the flies will also be bad. Gnats etc. in the evenings will be the same. This hot weather can wear you out fast, so keep an eye out for signs of hydration. If yo feel overheated you already are, take some shelter in shade or air conditioning. Drink a lot of water. Your body can only process four ounces of water every 15 minutes. Drink at least that much water in the same time periods.

If you don’t have to go out in the heat or work in it, stay in the air conditioning during the peak hours of the day. Watch out for your pets on pavement and the hot sand it can burn the pads of their feet.
