Great White Caught By The Overboard Near Ocean City

The crew of the Overboard out of Ocean City caught a great white about ten miles off the beaches of OCMD today. Captain Dustin, John French, and Angler Marshall Vitalle hooked into a about a one hundred and fifty pound great white shark. John said “It was in an area you would not think to look for a great white shark. We were thresher shark and flounder fishing and happened on this beast that hit our thresher bait. The shark was released immediately and swam off just fine.” Great White Sharks are federally protected.

We have seen a lot of sharks already in the surf this year. Cody and Ethan and their friends are at Fenwick Island catching sand tigers today. They are getting in the water with the animal to release it correctly. Sand tigers are prohibited from being removed from the water. Land Based shark anglers have to get in the water to release the shark. By either cutting the line or removing the hook.
