Four-way Stop at Gravel Hill Road & Sand Hill Road Being Installed Monday, March 9, 2020
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is converting the intersection of Route 30/Gravel Hill Road and Sand Hill Road to an all-way stop.
New stop signs, warning signs, “Stop Ahead” pavement markings, and flashing beacons will be installed as part of the project. These safety enhancements will now require motorists traveling along both directions of Route 30/Gravel Hill Road to stop at the intersection.
The intersection conversion will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 9. DelDOT officials expect the work to be completed by 3 p.m.
Motorists driving through the area during the time period described above should anticipate delays. Flaggers will be on-site to direct motorists.
Variable message boards will be placed in the area to alert motorists of the new traffic pattern.
