Flounder Pounder Open Starts Today

The Flounder Pounder Open started this morning, boats are headed out to sea to see what they can catch. Flounder fishing offshore has been hit or miss. When it hits it has been decent. I have yet to see any double digit flounder caught, but they are out there.

Some folks have been pregaming but fishing areas to see what is working and what is not. That works great until everything changes up the next day. it does give you an idea of where you may want to go fish.

Since there is a daily calcutta the scales should see some action today and more as the tournament continues into the weekend. Good luck to all of the anglers. The total daily calcutta is worth $11,000. Scales open at 4 PM.

There is only one rule change this year:
BOUNDRY: Anglers may only fish within 50 nautical miles from Green Buoy #1 which is located right outside the Indian River Inlet. (Please keep in mind: this is still a Delaware and Federal waters tournament so you cannot fish in New Jersey or Maryland waters.)

We are using the same LAYDAY email system from previous tournaments. PLEASE REMEMBER – you cannot email until after 7 PM the day before or before 7 AM the day of. If we do not receive your email, you will be marked as fishing for the day. You may also turn in your Layday Slip to Paradise Marina during the same times (after 7pm on the day before OR before 7 AMam on the day of). Once we receive your Layday Slip in- person or via email, it is final. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to these rules.

See you at the scales this week.

Fish On!
