First The Booms Then The Sky Opened Up

Every time we get a storm like this I sit in the yard and learn how to shoot lightening. It is not easy without a MIOPS trigger you just keep pushing the button and hope for the best. This storm put on a show and then the rain dropped like it was hot!

I was taking video at first, and then the light show started to get really intense. I thought what am I doing, take pictures!
I ran for the camera and switched up. I am glad I did, I only got these three shots, but I am digging my catches. Fishing for lightening is not that easy for sure. Being on the edge of the storm helps a lot until it rolled right over us and is now dropping buckets of water with the show.

When we were kids our grandparents would say the gods are bowling. They were hitting some serious strikes this evening. One of these days I will learn how to edit photos, these are jut raw off the camera.
